Description:
A002 is an ultra-low carbon stainless steel welding rod, whose weld metal exhibits excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion. Suitable for both AC and DC polarity, the rod resists reddening, produces a gentle arc with minimal spatter, and yields aesthetically pleasing welds. It offers excellent workability and good all-position weldability.
Application:
For welding ultra-low carbon 022Cr19Ni10 or 06Cr18Ni11Ti stainless steels.
Precautions:
1. Prior to welding, the electrodes must be baked at 350°C for one hour; use immediately after baking.
2. Before welding, thoroughly clean the workpiece to remove rust, oil, moisture, and other contaminants.
3. Maintain low current and short arc operation during welding.
