Description:
A312 stainless steel welding rod. The weld metal contains molybdenum, thus offering superior corrosion resistance, crack resistance, and oxidation resistance compared to A302. Suitable for both AC and DC welding, the rod exhibits good resistance to reddening, produces aesthetically pleasing welds, and possesses excellent welding processability with good operability and all-position weldability.
Application:
Used for overlay welding of transition layers resistant to sulphuric acid corrosion and for welding dissimilar steels.
Precautions:
1. Before welding, the electrodes must be baked at 350°C for 1 hour; use immediately after baking.
2. Prior to welding, thoroughly clean the workpiece of rust, oil, moisture, and other contaminants.
3. Maintain low current and short arc operation during welding.
